on Tenerife
Tenerife is the largest and most varied of all the Canary Islands. It lies between Gran Canaria (80 km) and La Gomera (30 km). By Pico del Teide is the highest peak (3,718 m) of Spain with the largest volcanic crater in the world, the Caldera de las Cañadas.
The shape is reminiscent of a triangle whose Punta endpoints (Spanish: Tip) de Anaga (East), Punta de Teno (West) and Punta de Rasca (south). The total area of 2,034 square km, representing 27% of the total area of the Canary archipelago. The expansion from north to south, 82 km, from east to west about 50 km. The total coastal length is 360 km.
